Upgrades are complete

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

After 6  months and nearly completely redoing an already state of the art network, we are pleased to announce our core networking infrastructure upgrade is completed.

Now Qnect.net is fully redundandt several times over.  Not only does Qnect.net now have the most advanced network around, it has key pieces in place that will change the name of how a network works.

During this upgrade we removed every 100 megabit device on our network and have replaced all core systems with data center quality gigabit routers that can handle multiple input connections.

What does that all mean?  It means unlike traditional ISP’s that have 1 repeater and 1 source of bandwidth, Qnect has repeaters with 2, 3, and 4 incoming sources of bandwidth.  Not only did we give ourselves more than 1 path throughout our network, we are built for hundreds of gigabits.

This may sound confusing but we have incredible things planned for the next few years.  This is the start of what is yet to come.

When it comes to the latest breaking technology around, Qnect.net are the guys and gals that will always push the limits, always run the latest and greatest, and enjoy testing the hottest equipment currently available.

Can u geek and teach? We are looking for techs!

We have a new support forum that is designed to be a community driven support forum.  Are you an expert at XP?  Vista?  Linux? DOS? OS X?  Come and hang out and help those who want to learn and are battling the ever evil forces of spyware and viruses.  If you know your bits and bytes and want to hang with some techs, signup for our End User Tech driven support list.

subscribe by emailing - support-subscribe@listserv.qnect.net or visit our List Server at http://listserv.qnect.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo.

The best way to see what you have is by seeing if you can fix problems in the real world.  If you can do this, lets bring this list to life.

End Users ARE welcome, we are currently building our techs and we know the tech problems will come.
